Police car chase leads to three arrests in large drug haul

A tactical police pursuit of a cloned car involving three patrol cars and a police helicopter has led to three males arrested as officers recovered a substantial amount of Class A and Class B drugs. Greater Manchester Police used Tactical Pursuit and Containment (TPAC) measures to box in the suspect vehicle after it was spotted on Princess Avenue, Cheadle Hulme. The three occupants fled on foot but with support from the NPASNorthWest police helicopter were quickly apprehended.

The suspects have been arrested for conspiracy to supply drugs and other offences and have been remanded in custody. The car has been seized by police and towed away. GMP Traffic tweeted at 2.17am: “This cloned vehicle was sighted on Princess Road by #XT14.

“With the assistance of #XT54, #TVIU & @NPASNorthWest the vehicle was boxed in and a pursuit was prevented.

“Occupants gave it legs but all 3x were detained, a large amount of drugs were recovered and the vehicle was seized”
