A64 traffic updates as road re-opened after serious crash near Malton

The A64 has been closed in North Yorkshire following a “serious accident” between a car and a lorry near Malton. Our traffic partners at Inrix have reported that the collision occurred near the Yeddingham turn off and that it happened this evening (Saturday). A spokesperson for National Highways said: “The A64 is closed in both directions between the B1248 near Norton-on-Derwent (east) and B1249 due to a collision.

“Delays are likely on the approach to this closure, with additional journey times also expected on diversion routes. Traffic is diverted via local roads. “Large freight vehicles heading eastbound/northbound are encouraged to use the A169 north at Old Malton and the A170 eastbound at Pickering, to head towards Scarborough.

Westbound freight traffic is encouraged to use these roads in reverse order.”
