Man killed after being hit by lorry on M4

A man hit by a lorry on the M4 this morning has died in hospital. Gwent Police said 61-year-old man from the Caldicot area was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by paramedics, where he later died. Officers received reports of a crash between junction 24 Coldra and junction 23 Magor Services at 6.50am on Tuesday (November 23).

The motorway was closed eastbound for most of the morning as investigations were carried out at the scene. Just after 1pm the carriageway re-opened but traffic congestion remained heavy. Police appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch to contact them by calling 101, quoting log reference 2100410666.
