M6 lane closed after lorry comes off motorway and topples over

A lorry has come off the motorway this morning causing major travel disruption. One lane has been closed on the M6 Southbound as emergency services rushed to the scene just before 9am to recover a HGV. The crash took place between junction 28 Leyland Way and junction 27 Crow Orchard Road.

:Man’s jaw broken after being repeatedly kicked by gang outside McDonald’s National Highways reports that traffic officers and maintenance crews were called to the area to help clear up the incident. They said the closure is expected to be in place’ for some time’ while the recovery work takes place.

Delays of more than 20 minutes were reported on travel monitoring Inrix, as the lane closure caused tailbacks. Highways England estimate that traffic may continue until 1pm, on Wednesday, November 10, following the crash. For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk/news
