Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour announcements and when to expect them

A major part of the festive season is nearly upon us. From tomorrow (November 24), the iconic red Coca-Cola truck will begin its tour of the UK and will see thousands of fans enjoy free fizzy drinks and the chance to take an all-important selfie. The giant truck, decorated in festive fashion, usually visits around 40 places across Britain, however there was uncertainty following last year’s cancellation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

:Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour schedule latest as first stop confirmed Coca-Cola bosses announced yesterday that the truck – which first appeared on our TV screens 26 years ago – will make its first stop at the Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow. We’re still waiting to hear whether the truck will pay a visit to Lancashire.

In previous years the truck has made whistle-stop trips to the North West, including The Trafford Centre, but as yet the rest of the 2021 schedule remains under wraps. A spokesperson told LancsLive: “We are not planning to share a full schedule this year, and will instead be announcing individual stops closer to the time. “We can confirm however that this year the Truck Tour’s first stop will be in Glasgow.

Keep your eyes on our website for further updates.” Further dates are expected to be announced today (November 23). Coca-Cola said the eagerly anticipated tour will bring ‘Christmas cheer to the nation’ and help ‘put a spotlight on local community and togetherness’.

Louise Maugest, marketing director at Coca-Cola Great Britain, said: “Coca-Cola has always been synonymous with Christmas, particularly the iconic Truck Tour. “With the magic of Christmas needed now more than ever, we thought it was only right that we bring it back this year, safely and securely. “The Coca-Cola Truck Tour has always been a moment to remind us of the importance of togetherness and community, something particularly prevalent during the festive season.”
