Young Artists Invited To Put Trucks In The Picture

YOUNG artists across the South are being invited to get creative with colourful artwork for WP Group’s home heating oil delivery trucks. The fuel supply company has launched a design competition for young people aged under 11, living across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, and Berkshire. WP Group is looking for imaginative art to brighten up the back of their tankers while they’re out and about making deliveries.

The designs should represent the communities they serve and celebrate the local environment and sustainability. Melanie Noel, WP Group Sales Manager, said: “WP Group is fuelling change in the industry and strives to be more sustainable in the fuel we use and sell. We encourage the communities and businesses we serve to be more efficient in their fuel use too and hope this competition will encourage the younger generation to think positively about protecting their natural environment for the future.

If you have any budding artists in your family or local school, please encourage them to take part by designing artwork for our trucks. For example, it could feature a building or an aspect of the local countryside which means something to them, their family or school.” The winning artwork will be on display and seen by thousands of people as the vehicles travel around the region.

To enter the free to enter competition, simply download the truck template from WP Group’s website, print it out, and get creative. Scan or take a photo of your finished artwork and email it to enquiries@thewp-group.co.uk The competition is open until 30th November 2021.
