“It’s route to the final is a tough one,” said Mr Gordon of Hull Paragon’s chances of being named the best station in the UK. Alongside Hull in the culture category are Coventry, Norwich and Oxford stations. Voting is ongoing now for which station will make it through to the semi-finals.
On Tuesday morning, Hull held a narrow lead in the culture category, but this round of voting is set to continue until Wednesday morning. The semi-final vote will take place on Thursday and the final, comprising four stations, on Friday. By Friday evening, Britain’s favourite UK station in 2021 will be revealed.
Last year’s winner was Glasgow Queen Street.
